Long time coming

Just in case I haven't mentioned this before, I don't really like writing very much. Buuuut, I guess I gotta put on my big boy pants and do what I gotta do.
So I've been busy this summer both at the landscaping company and making art. I produce a few new pieces for the Westport Art Fair that I did this year again. It's one of my favorites, a lot of great art and great people. At the show a couple spoke to me about doing a commission piece for them so that's what's in the works right now.
One if the new things I did for the Westport show was incorporating color and more fused glass from my good friend and great glass artist Rhoda J Powers.

Getting it together

Well slowly but surely I am getting this blog site together. Upon the suggestion of a fellow artist (thank you Rhoda Powers) I changed the template I was using so hopefully it will be easier for everyone to read my posts. Also I just uploaded some more images of my past and present work and will continue to add as I can. Hopefully with the Westport Art Fair coming up in September I will be creating a lot of new work like I did for the Oklahoma Festival of the Arts show. So keep an eye out for new work.

Snowy Sunday

Well here in KC it's a cold snowy day. So were all just taking it easy and relaxing some. My wife is busily crocheting something new she's been a crochet machine the last few weeks turning out new scarves and hats.
Meanwhile I'm busy working on new pieces for a show in April down in OKC. The Oklahoma City Arts Fair. It's a week long art show so I need to get a large amount of work turned out before then.
Whats crazy is doing a single weekend show Friday eve to Sunday eve wears me out like nothing else. I usually talk more during that 3 day period than I do all the rest of the year combined. So I can only imagine what a week long show will be like. It will no doubt be fun as we will also be able to visit my wifes family that lives there as well and one of our very good artist friends is in the show as well. His name is Andrew Batcheller. He's an amazing and prolific oil painter you should definitely check him out. Hes on Facebook do yourself a favor and look him up.
